Bhagwati Gayatri is considered as one of the five forms of primal power of nature. Their idol is like molten gold. She is called Mother Veda. In fact, Bhagwati Gayatridevi is the Eternal Goddess. At some point she was incarnated as the daughter of Savita, hence her name Savitri.
Origin
It is said that they were infected by Savita’s mouth. Lord Surya dedicated them to Brahmaji. From then on they got the name of Brahmani. Somewhere there is also a description of separate forms of Savitri and Gayatridevi. It was she who sacrificed her life, that’s why her name Gayatri became famous. Upanishads also describe the inseparability of Gayatridevi and Savitri – Gayatrimeva Savitrimanubruyat. Gayatrimaa is the idol of knowledge. This is the Aradhya Devi of only two castes. She is called Parabrahmswarupini. In the Vedas, Upanishads and Puranadis, a detailed description of their glory is found.
Worship of Gayatri devi
Gayatri is worshiped in three period of time, morning, noon and evening. They have separate attention for the three time.
In the morning, it sits in the middle of the solar system. At that time their body color is red. She holds Akshasutra and Kamandalu in her two hands respectively. Their vehicle is a swan and they are virgins. This form of Brahma Shakti is known as Gayatridevi. Its description is found in the Rigveda.
She have her youthful form in the midday period. They have four arms and three eyes. Conch, Chakra, Gada and Padma adorn their four hands respectively. Her vehicle is Garuda. This form of Gayatri is indicative of Vaishnavite power. This form is also called Savitri. It is described in the Yajurveda.

The basic form of the mantra is as follows-
