Why Did Kalayavan Want to Fight With Lord Krishna?

Once Kalayavana comes to know from Narada Muni that Lord Krishna is the most powerful king in the World, then he wants to fight with them because he always wanted to fight with a king who is equal to him.

Construction of Dwarka City

Kalayavana starts preparing to attack Mathura. Shri Krishna knew that Jarasandha was also going to attack Mathura and this time he would be more aggressive and would not show any mercy to the people of Mathura. This time both Jarasandha and Kalayavan were together. So the crisis increased. If on one side Krishna and Balarama had fought with Kalayavana, on the other side Jarasandha would have attacked his people.

Then Shri Krishna built a fort where no demon could enter. For the construction of the fort, the land was discovered in the middle of the Sea. Then a strong wall spread over 96 square miles was built which was inside the sea. The whole plan behind the construction of the gate was of Vishwakarma Ji. Many big palaces were built in the city of Dwarka of Shri Krishna, which were studded with diamonds, pearls, and gems. Along with this, a lot of streets, roads, gardens, Kalpavriksha, big temples, gates, etc. were built there.

Construction of Dwarka City

Indra dev sent the famous flower of heaven, Parijat, to plant there, and many such gifts were given by the Gods to Shri Krishna for Dwarka City. Then all the people of Mathura were brought to the city of Dwarka so that they could be kept safe.

So in this way, Lord Shri Krishna built the city of Dwarka for the protection of the people of Mathura.
