Holi Celebration
Holi is the festival of colors and enthusiasm. On the day of Holi, people play colors with each other and cuddle their friends & touch the feet of relatives. Holi is a very important Hindu festival People wait for this festival throughout the year. On this day Devotee Prahlada was saved by Lord Vishnu while Hiranyakashipu’s sister Holika turned into ashes. That’s why Holi is the symbol of the victory of good over evil.
The festival of Holi is celebrated on the full moon date of the Phalguna month. But this year people are confused about the dates of Holika dahan.

Holika Dahan will be done this time on March 07. It is also known as Chhoti Holi. Holika Dahan is considered most auspicious if it is done during Pradosh period on full moon day.

This time Holika Dahan will be held on March 07 and Holi will be played on March 8. The full moon date will start on March 06 at 04.17 pm and will end on March 07 at 06.09 pm. The auspicious time for Holika Dahan will be on Tuesday, March 07, from 06:24 in the evening to 08:51 in the night.
Bhadra Kaal: The time of Bhadra Kaal will start on March 06 at 04:48 in the evening and will end on March 07 at 05:14 in the morning.
Holika Dahan Puja Vidhi
- On the day of Holika Dahan, go to the place where wood is collected for burning Holika and offer prayers.
- Wrap the wood three or seven times with white thread or molly (raw thread).
- After this, offer kumkum and flowers etc. and worship on it.
- Holika is burnt after worship.
- People also worship Holika. As per belief, it brings prosperity and wealth to one’s home.
- This puja also gives people the power to fight all their fears.
