One day Arjun went to Rameshwaram. There he met Hanumanji. Seeing Ramsetu, Arjun said that if I were there, I would have built this bridge with arrows. Hearing this, Hanuman said that the bridge made of your arrows cannot bear the weight of even a single person. Then Arjuna said that if the bridge built by me breaks due to your walking, then I will enter the fire. Hanumanji accepted that and said If your arrow bridge would tolerate only my two steps, I will accept defeat.

After that Arjun made a bridge of arrows. As soon as Hanumanji took his first step, the bridge started to waver and broke. Seeing this, Arjun started burning himself by lighting a fire. Only then Shri Krishna appeared and asked Arjuna to build a bridge by taking the name of Shri Ram. Arjun did the same. Took a step again with Hanumanji but this time the bridge did not break. Hanuman then told Arjuna that he would protect him till the end of the war. That’s why Hanuman sat in the flag of Arjuna’s chariot in the Kurukshetra War and protected him till the end of the Mahabharata War.

Madhavacharya ji was born in 1238 AD. Madhavacharyaji had seen Hanumanji in person. Madhavacharya ji was a great saint who explained Brahmasutra and the 10 Upanishads. Madhavacharya ji was the supreme devotee of Lord Shri Ram. This was the reason that one day he had a direct vision of Hanumanji. Saint Madhavacharya had told about seeing Hanumanji in his ashram. Madhavacharyaji merged into the Brahma element in 1317 AD at the age of 79 years.

According to the evidence available about Tulsidasji, he was born in 1554 AD on the seventh day of Shukla Paksha of Shravan month. When Tulsidasji used to live in Chitrakoot, he used to go to the forest to defecate and he used to pour the remaining water of defecation on a Shami tree. A ghost used to live on the Shami tree on which he used to pour water. The ghost was pleased with this work and one day he appeared in front of Tulsidas and asked him to ask anything.

Tulsidasji said that I have no desire other than to see the Lord. The ghost said that I cannot do this but I can show a way. That is, wherever Harikatha takes place, Hanumanji comes and sits there in some form or the other. I’ll tell you by the gesture. Only Hanuman Ji can make you see the Lord. This just happened and Tulsidasji caught hold of Hanumanji’s feet. In the end, after getting defeated, Hanumanji, who was listening to Ramkatha in the form of leprous, promised to get God’s darshan.

Then one day Tulsidasji was grinding sandalwood on the banks of Mandakini. God came in the form of a child and was applying sandalwood to him by begging, then Hanumanji became a parrot and recited this couplet –

चित्रकूट के घाट पै भई संतनि भीर। तुलसीदास चंदन घिसे, तिलक देत रघुवीर।'

Samarth Ramdas

Samarth Swami Ramdas was born on Ramnavami 1608 in the village Jamb (District Jalna) near the Goda coast. He was the supreme devotee of Hanumanji and the Guru of Chhatrapati Shivaji. Along with Hanuman temples, he laid the foundation of the militarization of Maharashtra by building akharas, which turned into state establishment. Neem Karoli Baba saw Hanuman Ji

The real name of Neem Karoli Baba was Lakshminarayan Sharma. He was born around 1900 in Akbarpur village of Uttar Pradesh. He left his body on 11 September 1973 in Vrindavan. Baba Neem Karoli was an ardent devotee of Hanumanji. He had built many temples of Hanumanji across the country. There are many miraculous stories of Neem Karoli Baba. It is said about him that Hanumanji used to give him darshan.
