Why is Rishi Panchami fast important for women?

How to start fasting?

  • First of all, wake up early in the morning, take a bath and wear clean clothes.

Take only tuber-root diet on this day

On this day, women should brush their teeth in the morning with the wooden teeth of the Aghada plant. After taking a bath before worship, resolve that I am observing this fast to please the Saptarishis including Arundhati, to remove the defects caused by unknowingly touching during menstruation. Make eight small parts of rice on a wooden plate and keep eight betel nuts on it, Kashyapadi, seven sages, and Arundhati worship them by invoking them. Take a tuber-root diet only on this day. Do not eat anything of the labor done by the bull. It has been told so. On the second day, Kashyapadi seven sages and Arundhati should be immersed in the form of eight parts of rice. This fast can be observed after the age of 12 years or 50 years. This fast can be continued even after Udyapan.
