52 Shakti Peethas of Maa Parvati
The number of Shakti Peethas has been mentioned as 108 in Devi Bhagavata Purana, twenty-six in Kalikapurana, fifty-one in Shivcharitra, Durga Saptasati, and 52 in Tantrachudamani. Genrally 52 Shakti Peethas are considered of Maa Parvati. About 52 Shakti Peethas have been mentioned in Tantrachudamani. Presenting the table of Tantrachudamani.
1.Hinglaj
Hingula or Hinglaj Shaktipeeth which is situated 125 km northeast of Karachi is where the Brahmarandha (head) of Maa Parvati fell. Its power is Kotri (Bhairavi-Kottavisha) and Bhairav is called Bhimlochan.
2.Sharkarre (Karveer)
Sharkarre Shaktipeeth is situated near Sukkar station Karachi in Pakistan, where their mother’s eye fell. Its power- Mahishasurmardini and Bhairav are called Krodhish.
3. Sugandha- Sunanda
Maa Sugandha is situated on the banks of river Sondh, 20 km away from Barisal in Shikarpur, Bangladesh, where Maa’s nastika fell. Its power is Sunanda and Bhairav is called Trimbak.
4. Kashmir – Mahamaya
